'Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.^1'

This is Wikipedia's definition of Science. Even Wiki got bored and cut the rest of the definition into a footnote. This is a perfect demonstration of where science needs good communication to hold it's hand when talking to the world.

Most people want to 'get it' without having to read it four times. Complicated words in lengthy sentences offer little more than to help an intellect to feel more intellectual.

Getting scientific ideas, research and knowledge into the minds of many is an enthralling thing to do.

We are talking about science here, underestimated at school, understood by too few, and underlying everything we do.
